Is getsphinx.de trustworthy? Suspicious signals
suspiciousCaution is advised with this provider. Several of the checked characteristics are conspicuous or incomplete.
Before ordering, independently verify the imprint, payment methods and reviews, and avoid prepayment.
What you should do next
The check does not provide a clear picture for getsphinx.de. Resolve the open and suspicious points before sending money or personal data.
- Compare the company, address and register details in the legal notice with an independent source.
- Do not pay by bank transfer, advance payment or cryptocurrency; use effective buyer protection instead.
- Run the check again immediately before buying if the displayed check date is no longer current.
- Review the data gaps: an unverifiable signal is neither positive evidence nor a suspicion.

Who runs this site?
Warning signals
- Legal pages One mandatory legal text is missing from the site: the right of withdrawal. The other mandatory details are linked.
- Payment methods Only a single common payment method is recognisable; secured alternatives are missing.
- Trade register The commercial register entry does not match the legal notice, or the registered company has been deleted, is insolvent or in liquidation.
- Reputation Web research found indications of negative experiences that could not be conclusively confirmed (rating 2.5 out of 5 from 115 reviews).
In the shop's favour
- WHOIS According to WHOIS the domain has been registered for several years, or its registration data has been unchanged for years - an indication of a permanently operated presence.
- DNS configuration The domain has a complete email configuration with MX and SPF records - the shop can therefore actually send and receive email under its own address.
- External reputation feeds The external security databases queried hold no warning about this domain - neither for malware nor for phishing.
Further checks
- Imprint The legal notice names Sphinx UG (haftungsbeschränkt) as the operator, registered under HRB 110452 B, with reachable contact details. That number can be looked up in the public register - in a dispute there is someone to turn to who demonstrably exists.
- Server location The site's server is located in Ottawa, CA and therefore outside the EU and the USA - enforcing your rights there is considerably harder in a dispute.
- Trustpilot On Trustpilot the shop only reaches 2,5 out of 5 from 115 reviews - other customers there report problems more often than not.
- SSL certificate The connection is encrypted; the certificate was issued by Let's Encrypt and last renewed on 1 August 2026. Anyone can verify this themselves - via the padlock icon in the browser's address bar. Encryption says nothing about the operator's trustworthiness, though: a fake shop gets it free of charge too.
- Security headers The server sets the common security headers - the site is technically cleanly configured. On its own this says nothing about the provider's trustworthiness.
- Redirects The address does not redirect to a third-party domain - the shop is actually operated under the address you opened.
- Social media presence The linked social media profiles are reachable - the provider can therefore also be checked outside its own website.
- Contact data plausibility The contact details given are plausible: the email address belongs to the shop domain and the phone number is correctly formatted - fake shops mostly use free webmail addresses here.
- Template/clone fingerprint No known fake shop has the same template fingerprint as this site - a mass-produced kit of the kind fraud networks use is therefore not detectable.
- Content depth The site has an extensive structure with many subpages - that points to a product range grown over time rather than a quickly assembled sales page.
What we could not verify
These checks returned no result – for example because the site blocked our request or a registry was unreachable. This is explicitly NOT a suspicion: it only means we lack the basis for a statement here.
